Come play (and rest) with me.

Have you ever taken a retreat? They are so delightful and welcome. Even if you don’t come to one of my retreats, I recommend you find one that resonates with you and try it.

But what is the difference between a yoga retreat and a vacation? Many things.

A vacation can feel hurried whereas a retreat is more restful. One of my retreat students who came to Scotland mentioned she had traveled to India to attend a retreat there but the time was more like a vacation with a little yoga thrown in. This is very different than what I offer. I offer time to connect to like-minded people, time to be in silence, time to reflect, and most of all, time to REST and RESET.

Just think of the word “retreat.” Here’s what the Oxford dictionary says, “(of an army) withdraw from enemy forces as a result of their superior power or after a defeat. And, “an act of moving back or withdrawing.” Enemy forces? All our responsibilities can be a burden. A retreat takes care of everything—the food, the lodging, the scheduling, everything. What a relief.
