The truth is it was really hard.

It's time. It's finally time! I will be leaving for Scotland today! And I'm beyond excited.

I posted on social media that my retreat was happening soon. But one thing I didn't post was the challenges it took me to get here. I feel like I literally climbed a mountain to get to where I finally am now.

Sure, hosting a retreat and traveling to foreign lands sounds glamorous and fun but what did it really take to pull this off? A lot, actually.

From contacting the retreat center to finding the perfect dates, scheduling them in 2020 then postponed to 2021, and one more time this summer to finding the right words to inspire and engage (why Scotland?) to building a website, writing copy for promotions, and posting on social media.

Also staying motivated and creating deadlines for marketing, tracking participants and payments, gathering information about dietary restrictions, contacting tour companies and transportation companies, and much, much more. But I LOVE it. I love creating and visioning and dreaming. It makes my heart sing!

I want to give a deep warm "Thank you" to my intrepid, and generally bad-ass assistant, Sara Langland, for keeping me on track and organized. (She is reading this now as she edits this newsletter). THANK YOU!! I couldn't have done this without you, Sara.

These newsletters will be on pause while I'm traveling but you can follow me on social media to see my daily posts while I'm in Europe! Come follow me to see what the Scotland retreat will be like. Find out what the next retreat location looks like when I travel to Tuscany to check out Villa Bibbiani and more.

Join me on the next yoga retreat in Tuscany this May 2023.
